Got the clunk out of the rear end

My 1996 XJ had a HUGE clunk in the rear end when you could come to a complete stop. I got rid of it by putting OE brake shoes on the rear drums. Previous I'd changed the rear transmission mount (broken), the motor mounts (broken) the rear springs (worn out) and replaced the carrier bearings in the rear end (also worn out). None of these ever fixed the problem.

At $154 they weren't cheap, BUT the car stops quiet and no clunk when you come to a complete stop.

Boy do I feel better now.
