good/cheap 2-2.5 inch lift
like it says i need to know of a good 2-2.5 inch lift kit thats not going to cost me $600, i realize the irony of trying to find good/cheap at the same time but i really want to run 31's and a former boss of mine did it with a 2 inch block shackle lift and told me he only had a little rub, which i can deal with, this car is only going to see minor off roading because i plan on buying an older cherokee to beat on, so anyway whats a good one to use?

Go to autozone/advance auto.. spend 25 dollars on 2 inch lift blocks w/ U-bolts. Go to www.rubiconexpress.com and hunt around for 2 inch coil spring spacers.. 34.95+ S&H. So for a little over 60 bucks you have a cheap, and easy 2 inches. I have no negative comments about it.. Only downside is if your leafs are weak, they will sag sooner than normal.

Ah.. guess I'll keep an eye on mine then. Daystar has a kit, 1.75" I beleive. Dont know if that is too small for you. Rustys Off Road has a 2 inch with either blocks or shackles, for right around $100.

Best bet is this:
Grand Cherokee '93-'98 V8 (ZJ) coils up front ) - 1.5" of lift or Carquest HD XJ coils up front (do a search for the part number) and S10 leaf springs in the rear - 2.5" - 5" of lift. or Extra Cherokee leaves in the pack - 2-3" of lift or Dodge Dakota leaves - 2" - 5" of lift I did this for 120 dollars in my wifes Jeep. She's sitting at about 2.5" in the rear, 1.5" in the front and runs 30s with no issues. Then again... she ran them stock with no issues. But that's a minor point... If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me about them but I suggest doing a search first. Lots of information about it all.
