This will be my first post I have started fixing up a 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo. It has been sitting in a pasture for about 5 yrs. The engine wants to turn over and if i spray some startup fluid in it it will start for about 10 seconds until fumes get burnt up.....I cannot hear the fuel pump kick on so I checked the fuses and there all good I replaced the fuel pump relay and the asd relay....I replaced the fuel pump...still wouldnt power on so I check to make sure Im getting 12v at fuel pump when i crank engine.....so i though i had a defective fuel pump...I took it back and swapped it out still wont power on...any ideas what else to try.................

I have found my issue i replaced the distributor cap and rotor and car started......If anyone has this issue where fuel pump won't power on......I would first check if u have voltage when u crank the engine AND when u power it on for about 2 seconds ........if not getting power with just turning key on I would go for distributor cap before replacing the fuel pump......like I did.....
