Fuel issues

I just got my fuel pump assy replaced 2-3 weeks ago. I have been smelling gas fumes around the tank area since. I just filled up last night & gas came gushing out from under the jeep somewhere right after the pump clicked off. My last tank, from full to E, lasted not even 300 miles. I've been starting to have the same starting issue I had before I changed the pump (won't start on first try).
