I recently purchased a set of BOSCH DESIGN II (EV1.3) fuel injectors for my fiancee's 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ Limited 4.0L I6. I need some advice on how to install them. I also need a recommendation for a quality fuel filter as well. YouTube videos are welcomed for this thread.
Biggest issue you'll have doing the injectors is relieving the fuel line pressure which involves taking off the gas cap and a few other steps. Lots of info online info, here is a good place to start:
I believe you're fuel filter is in your tank as part of the pump and doesn't need to be changed unless you have a specific "problem". Some info in this thread about it that I recently asked the same questions regarding the fuel filter.

I think that is for the older XJ's with the in-line filter...but I may be wrong...everything I hear/read/saw was that for the in-tank filters the only time to replace was when you were replacing the fuel pump.
4 a Good "How To" Go Here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/injector-swap-writeup-4-0l-1224714/ http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1064227
Pretty Easy Swap Out. About 6 Bolts IIRC.
B Sure to Get some Injector Cleaner & Hose Out the Fuel Rail.
Any Aftermarket Fuel Filter will Work. Just Make Sure it Is Metal & Not Plastic.
If the Parts Store Tries to give you Plastic, It's the Wrong Filter.
Filter Location is just Forward of the Gas Tank on the Drivers Side.

I am in the process of doing this modification, however I want to replace my spark plugs as well as I have no idea how old they are. Can anyone recommend me the best spark plug to go with this upgrade?

the Cherokee runs best off your basic $3 champion plugs.
