Front End Vibration
Hey All. I'm new to the Jeep forum. I bought a 2000 Cherokee 4.0 4 door 4spd auto in February 2005 with 72000 and I have put on about 5000 miles since then. I love my Cherokee and it runs great and wish I would have got one sooner. About a month ago, while driving down the road, I hit a small pothole or some uneven surface in the roadway and the front end began to shake violently and feels like the wheels are going to fall off. From then on from time to time, depending on the bump and my speed, it will vibrate out of control until I either speed up or slow down below 20mph. It occurs around 35-40 mph. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I haven't done any extreme offroading, the XJ is completely stock except for the stereo and I drive it easily and do not beat it around. Also, is there any slight modifications that I can do to increase horsepower and gas mileage without costing me alot of money? What would you all recommend? Thanks.

ok first off death wobble has nothign to do with a steering stabilizer, dont give bad information
. the most likely casue for your death wobble is the fram mount of the track bar, remove the coter pin and crank it down. check your controel amr bolts, actually check every bolt. Get an alignment, and make sure your tires are balance properly.

^What he said... A steering stabilizer is a band aid for other problems.
