Front end noise?

I just got my first Jeep. A 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has a whining noise in the front area when ever I let off the throttle and coast. It is more noticeable at highway (+) speeds. The local shop says it's the front drive shaft. Though when I crawled under there before every thing seemed ok and all the joints seemed tight. Anyone have/had some similar issues?

No, but you can remove the front drive shaft to rule it out.
