Xj front caliper 97 xj

Hallo together,

I have some problems with my front brakes.
The caliper dr side seams not to open complete once in a while. Then you have a bad smell, have to wait and with some luck the caliper is open again.
I had this problem on vacation and went to a garage and got it fixed, - high price but bad quality! - the calipers are new... and the problem happend already again.
I do not want to go with big brake kits, I like to, but I run 30x9.5 r15 and this should be okay with the single piston caliper.

What brand do you guys consider good quality and do you have positve experience?

Another Question is: A guy in germany is selling brake caliper for CJ7 86 and XJ 90 + ? Do both use the same calipers?
I couls not believe it.

Thanks

Did you get new soft lines as well? Also how bout the knuckle is there a groove in it where the caliper rides? I bought super crap calipers from Advanced and got almost a year out of them before warranting the RH side.
I run 31's, and I know some are running bigger than that on the stock caliper.

CJ D30 and XJ D30 do not interchange parts. 1993-98 ZJ Grand Cherokee brakes will fit.

Check the brake pad sliding surface for wear. They should be smooth and flat. As already suggested, install new flexible brake lines.

I meant the flexible line from hard to the caliper.
