FRONT axle hop

Hi I got a 4 inch lift with 32s on my 2000 xj and when I'm wheeling in mud and I turn my steering wheel more than half way my front axle will hop. In 4wd. Is this common or is it a bad thing? Thanks

axle hop is generally a characteristic of poor suspension geometry. are you running stock control arms in the stock location?

Have you checked your u-joints? When mine were bad I would get really bad axle hop when I tried turning due to the joint binding and popping as the wheels turned.

The passenger side u joint is bad, driver side is good but it's been doing this even before that. And it only does it when the wheels are spinning and the mud is flying
