found out what was poppin under my jeep..help please?

ok so my rough country shocks that have a whole 100 miles on them have the rubber bushings out of them. I am going to be calling rough country tomorrow and asking for a fix. do they make heavy duty shock bushings, or do you have to replace the shocks??? this jeep has been drove on the highway, and on a gravel road like 2 times since the lift.

People are going to say get BPEs. Im going to say get a pack of red poly shock bushings from your local performance shop and call it a day.

I sure hope my shocks dont do that:

They'd better replace them with either replacements or bushings...if not they fail

Good luck

from my understanding/experience, overtightening will cause premature failure of the bushing...

I agree with the buy new buhings and call it a day idea. Stuff happens, and buhings are cheap.

rough country sent me some newer heavier duty ones at no cost and they arrived pretty much over night. I love these guys' customer service.

I had the same experience. I bought the 3" lift with full packs and they came with the shocks in the package. I had heard that they had a bad set of bushings, and I probably put 2000 miles on my Jeep on country roads before mine went out. I thought I got lucky and had the good batch of bushings, but nooo...lol.

I called Jason the next day and he sent me 4 new ones right away. When I changed the shocks, all 4 of the ones I took off wouldn't even push themselves back out. No wonder it road like ****.

Their customer service is second to none, and that's why I will do business with them again.

Oh... first post here...lol.

x2, jason is a great guy to do business with.

Not all shocks push the rod out on there own. I have no experience with rough country shocks but I would guess they dont.

Well the new ones I got were wired down, and they were hard as hell to compress enough to get them in, so i think they were suppose to.
