found another xj.. what u think

someone i know is selling his '94 XJ.. is stock... body has 165k and engine has around 108k... said few things wrong with it are... bushings on suspen are worn, heat only works on hi or low, not inbetween, and no a/c condensor... he wants 1200.. how that sound? this gonna be daily driver/ back up vehicle

That's a fair amount of miles for a vehilce that old. The $1200 sounds okay, but I would push for around $900 explaining to him that at that many miles, there will be a lot of maint to do to it.

Then buy it and hit the junk yards for later model Xj's for the bushings and maybe even the suspension.

Plenty of guys selling thier old suspension peices once they lift, or you could start building up a bb custom suspension using WJ ars to clear wider tires with minimum lift.

AC repair can be done by you and would be a PITA, but not impossible. Theblower could just be the fused link or resistor on eth blower motor. There's a a write up in the Tech/FAQ on that fix.

he pulled the condensor out of it....

Doesn't matter. You can get a brand new one from 4wd.com as well as all the other pieces you'll need. I rebuilt the AC setup in my 96 GMC and it worked great.
