forgive me father..for i have sinned
After a few weeks of no response to my underpowered Xj being for sale, i got an offer. This guys i met wants to trade me straight up for a 1972 Harley Sportster. I went to look at it, and it needs a cleaning but it runs great. Fast a crap too. He wanted a hunting vehicle so we are trading in november when i get my next vehicle. Cant wait. Im deciding between building up Jeep or a K5 Blazer.

That would be a hard choice. Both are great vehicles, especially an older straight axle full size K5. If I could I'd love to have a carbed 373 stroker motor and a T350 with NP205 TC.
Of course my XJ is small enough to get to more places than my old K5 ever could. The XJ gets better gas milage and has 4doors. I was actually looking for a K5 when I found my XJ. I was keeping all my options open. the biggest problem here was that all the K5's in the $3-5k range were pretty ragged out already. the XJ's however were in great shape and pretty much factory original.

I'd go with the K5... I traded my 90
towards the cherokee I have now and I wish i had both. Oh well, it's in a better place now...Last edited by DefaZ; 10-03-2003 at 02:06 PM.. |
