I posted awhile ago about getting in a wreck going to work one day. Messed up my whole front end. Header panel, grill, front bumper, ripped off flare, both bumper ends but no damage to headlights lol Im glad. Didnt even mess up my hood but heres what it looked like
After finally getting it painted to match my hood, because the first job matched the factory color but after 9 years of use the paint had lost some of its luster. So my buddy at work matched the paint better and shot it again. It actually only took one hour for the install and tear down of the front end. The worst part was probably taking the white tabs the hold all the screws for the headlights and grill assembly. I used a chisel and a hammer and pounded them around the stock one to remove them. I couldnt get a pair of pliers to grab them from behind and pull them through. After removing them all, then i just popped them into the new one and proceeded to bolt it up. I already installed the bumper and new bumper trim the preceeding weekend. Heres some shots of the finished product and the install.
Heres a pic of the right side but I still havent got that fender flare! lol I did but since i didnt put on right, it def flew off when i was going on the interstate. I havent had time to drive 30 mins away and get it from the cmc in gaston.
Heres a pic of my first of four rims that im painting black. I decided to go black because the rim paint i did buy was totally wrong and was like a silver flake. The paint im using high temp glass black engine enamel
Heres what my jeep looks like now after painting the flares, trim, putting on the new front end and actually washing my jeep. Im also painting the rims because the paint was coming off around the rim of the wheel. Ill post pics when i finish them. Alright i g2g to work. Ill try and post more pics or give more information about the swap if yall want it. Comments are welcome or suggestions
