Factory Swing Away Tire Carrier

I know some cherokee's came with a stock spare carrier. Is there anyway that you could take off all the hardware and mount it up to a 98 Cherokee.

I was thinking about taking that and just using my bumper and mounting the tire carrier to it. Would that work? Also is it sturdy enough to accomodate a 32" spare on steelies? Thanks for your input.

Yes, you can.

Make sure you get the the reinforcement brackets the keep it from pulling your bumper off the Jeep.

The factory tire swings have weak hinges and will not hold any tire/rim combo larger than a 31". Often the hinges are totally worn out from just the stock tire/rim combo.
