Looks great!
How does the unibody feel with the finished cage? I suppose not much flex anymore?

Sounds pretty familiar Keep it in good shape, so we can go wheeling in September
I'm trying my best to finish my build in the next few weeks, but I'm still having big problems with my bender mount. The concrete wall I mounted it to is not strong enough. I'm very close to ordering JD2 Model3 hydraulic bender...

When I had the rear caged but not the front under extreme flex I would sometimes hear the fan rubbing on the shroud. I don't hear that anymore. The whole rig feels very solid now and there are very few noises coming from the body.
Keep me updated on your travel plans.

I haven't checked recently, but I used to average around 15 mpg. Tire size and gearing have all remained the same, but my rig is one to two hundred pounds heavier. I did change my intake as well from the safari snorkel to the cowl.
Its probably a good idea to check my mileage again, but since its not a daily driver I rarely drive it a full tank anymore without a trail ride too, which throws the mileage off of course.

There's still a few towards the back of the jeep. I told myself that I want to keep the front looking good for SierraFest so I'm not going to trash it the first few trips out, like last year on the 'con

Looks sweet, the front is odd the way the tubing went together but none the less can't complain
Must have been nice to get out there again with the jeep after so many months.

New Mexico Driving Rules...

As a general rule, the vehicle most in need of a significant amount of bodywork (for which the driver is most likely uninsured) always has the right of way.
Never use directional signals when changing lanes. They only serve to give away your next move, causing most NM drivers to speed up and not let you in. In fact, use of directional signals within most large NM city limits is actual illegal.
NM law states that at least 50% of all paved surfaces within the state must be under construction at any one time. In all construction zones, at least half of the available lanes must be closed, regardless of whether any actual construction is be accomplished or not. Construction signs shall be regularly repositioned in order to warn drivers about upcoming lane closures immediately after they pass the last exit before traffic backups.

Driving through constructions zones with upcoming lane closures is a popular game in NM. It’s called the "speed up and pass as many cars as you can, then see how close to the lane closure you can squeeze back into traffic before hitting any of the orange construction barrels" game.
You have any other big plans lined up soon or can we expect some more good wheeling pics?

I'm planning on being at Sierrafest this year too. Can't wait to finally see this beast in person! Your rig is what made me want an XJ

Thanks guys. No big plans for it until next winter (I hope). That should allow for some good wheeling trips this summer.
