Electronic vs Thermal Flasher Question

Couldn't find the correct answer from searching. My Blinker thermal flasher died. Went to Auto Zone and they were out of the exact replacement. So I purchased an Electronic one. Will it matter to use either or as a direct replacement?? Thanks

The electronic is actually better than the original style. If you tow a trailer or convert to LED's the original style flasher gets fooled into thinking you have a bulb burned out and it flashes super fast. The electronic one will work just fine.

Installed it today and noticed no major diference, only louder. I think I'll just replace the hazards with one similar.
