Electric fan upgrade

I was told that a ford Taurus fan was a direct bolt on And a better fan. Does anybody know if that's true?

Not a direct bolt in. But they are very good fans if you can find one. I've got 2 or 3 that I've snagged from the junkyard.

definitely not bolt in. You're talking wiring, heavy wiring, the taurus fans are powerful and use a lot of amperage. Then making it fit, the taurus fan is 14in dia. IIRC, the stock XJ electric fan is 11in dia.
