Electric fan relay????

I have a 96 cherokee sport, im having issues with the electric fan coming on when it gets to 220. I have replaced both cooling temp sensors. The fan comes on when the AC is turned on, and when I unplug the sensor in the T stat housing the fan kicks on. I was going to try replacing the Relay, but where the hell is it, The relay box on the right side of the engine compartment has a spot for a "Aux Fan" but there is no relay, and doesnt even seem like there are connectors in it, also I hear people talking about a relay on the Left side inner fender behind or beside the air box, and I dont have one there either? can anyone help?

If the fan kicks in, the relay's fine.

It would be a wrong assumption to think temperature is the same at both sensors. The temp sending unit is located before the stat, the coolant temp sensor after. If the stat is clogged, the temp at the coolant temp sensor won't be as high as it is in the engine (guess how I know)... are you overheating? Another possibility, maybe you've replaced one of the sensors with the wrong part. Sensors with the wrong impedance will give off skewed readings.

Wiring

I JUST WIRIED MY STOCK COOLING FAN TO A 40 AMP RELAY AND CONNECTED IT TO THREE WAY SWITCH. NOW IT RUNS DIRECTLY WITH KEY/OFF/BATTERY LOCATIONS. NO NEED FOR SENSORS ANYMORE TO TURN ON FAN.
