I'm running one right now. It is going bad after less than six months; at least it has a "lifetime" warranty. AFAIK all years of the XJ w/4.0 from '91 to '01 are the same so I don't know how it can be too big.

I refuse to use Duralast anything, but the only reason is because I absolutely despise their awful commercials.
"Built to last, Duralast" omg it makes me want to throw my TV out the window. It's almost as bad as "Head on, apply directly to the forehead, Head On, apply directly to the forehead"![]() Really though, I just don't trust their stuff. Seems cheapy to me but I could be completely wrong. I have never used any of their products so I can't really say one way or another. I'm a bit OCD about what I put on my Jeep though, haha. |

I've had decent luck with the Duralast mid-level battery and top end front brake pads. Put a Duralast alt. in a co-workers Grand Prix 2 years ago and its still going with no problems.
Boneyard idea many be be so bad, bought a blower motor for my 2000, out of a 2002 Wrangler so it was newer than what I replaced, and only $25. Still on my original alterntator so far.

Well, we put my replacement Didnotlast alternator in today--it seems to work. I will say that the Zone was very good about replacing it. And, granted, it has been under mud/water a few times, but you would still hope it would last longer than six months.
