drum brake help

So after months of driving with my grinding Dana 35 I finally found a used 8.25. The drums are seized to the shoes from sitting in the guys garage for a month. I broke one free after hours of slow progress on the adjuster star. The other one I can't get to budge. I depress the retaining clip and try to turn the star but the brake spoon just slides up the gear :/ super fustrating, I doubt its moved at all. I've been smacking it and drentching the whole drum for 3 days. Any other options? Angle grinder time?

If all else fails............angle grinder are a wonder thing.

I had one that was froze at the hub. I used an air hammer with a blunt tool and gave light hits all around the hub, came lose in seconds.

you could try heating it, or try using a sledge.

Are you sure you are turning the star wheel the correct direction ? Often a straight screwdriver works better than an adjuster spoon.

I ended up cutting a slit with the angle grinder into the drum, prying it open torelieve tension while a buddy hit it with an electric cement chisler. It fell off! The star adjuster was a solid piece haha thanks for the help guys.
