Drive Shaft/U-joint bolt Size.

Forgot to grabe the bolts for the Double Cardan end of my shaft when I picked it up from the JY, What size and type of bolt should I be looking for to replace them. I'm getting ready to Install my **** SYE this week.

Couldn't begin to tell you. I would take the yoke to the hardware store and start searching for the correct ones.

Might give a little more info in case someone else may have the info.

What part did you get from the junkyard? A fixed yoke?

I got a front Drive shaft from a 98 XJ, I have rebuilt it and before I get into the install I need new bolts to fasten it to the yoke. I could just go to the hardware store and grab new bolts but didnt know if there was a specific grade I should be looking for or if it would be available at say lowes or home depot. If someone knows what size it is and the required length and grade I can avoid haveing to carry the shaft and yoke into the store and guessing about the grade.

I am planning on heading to the shop tomarrow to work on my jeep and I really dont want to guess about the bolts. Any Idea's.

Take a bolt out from your rear diff yoke. Should be the same size.

If I find that noone knows that may be what I have to do.
