Doorless....

Well I chopped the bottom of my hinges off today and took the drivers side door off, it was pretty cool until I tried to put it back on...

getting the pins to line up with the hinges was more or less impossible and we ended up unbolting the hinges from the door, putting em on the mounts on the body, and bolt the door back on.

Is there some trick im missing or is it just a royal pain in the *** to get the doors back on?

Mine slide in an out like butter.

Use either a disk grinder or some course sand paper and take some metal off of pins to drop the OD a couple thousands. Get some DW40 or Break Free CLP, lube em up and drop them in. That is what I did and it works great.

Man hopefully we meet up on one of these runs and you can show me cuz mine are a straight up PITA.

the pins slide in and out fine when theyre off the door, but its more getting the door at the right angle to slide em in thats the pain in the arse.

The length of your pin may also be the culprit. The pin on my doors are just slightlly stick out of the middle hinge when they are in.

easy fix is to cut the bottom pin 1/4 of an inch shorter than the top..... this was you can line up the top one in the hole... then pop the second one in with easy.... just helps so you odnt have to line them both up at the same time....
