Do i need to grease my slip joint on my 96?
cause ive heard that on some models that the slip joint is lubricated by the txfer case...

Yes, you do need to put grease in the grease fitting on the front DS. I would recommend doing so when you grease the rest of the suspension, probably everytime you change the oil.
The rear slip yoke is pretty much maintanence free. It is lubricated by the transfer case.
