Dana 35, what parts to replace??

So my currunt axle is making one hell of a grinding whining noise when driving after a little water got inside.

Do i get a new axle and bolt it in, done it before. Or replace the internals? If so what parts do i replace? do it myself?

I currently have heavyduty axle seals installed, can i reuse them?

HELP!! the noise is unbearable

Get another bolt in axle and be done.

Start with the shafts, carrier, gears, u bolts, and housing. Replace parts with a c8.25.

^^^ I thought the same thing when I clicked open the thread.

However - you can get a Super Dana35 which replaces the carrier with a Detroit and bigger diameter axle shafts w/o taper at the splines and I wanna say the spline count is 30.

The cheapest fix will be replacing the entire axle with a newer 97-up 8.25. That is a nice upgrade from what you have.
