cut and fold method

can anyone give me a link or explain the cut and fold method of trimming the rear fenders. I trimmed the fronts and the rears up to the pinch weld and I really like the look of it, but i want to trim the rears more.

Thanks
Rob

I need to trim my front fenders, how did you do yours? I have never done any body work like that before.

it's not really all that complicated to do. just cut lines perpendicular to the fender line. just make sure to avoid the pinch welds. then take a rubber mallet beat the 'em backwards. i stopped when they were about 1/2 way back and put a nice thick bead of silicone to help try and keep water from accumulating back there. then finished beating them all the way back. along the long sides and top, you don't need that many cuts. but along the sharper bends (transitions from side to top) it's better to make a few smaller cuts to give you a cleaner bend

While your there why not just cut the rear quarters as well, I'm glad I did.
Doesn't take long at all. Just a little scary making that first cut.
