Put my other rims on it, 15x10 soft 8s, in an attempt to get rid of my speed wobbles(anything past 55 the wheels shimmy back and forth very slightly), with no luck, slightly better but not really. Still balanced with 8oz of airsoft BBs. I think the track bar bushing is shot. The allingments probably off too.

Shafts are in, front bilsteins are in, and so are the johnny joints (replacing ballistic fab poly bushings)

Hopefully ill get my new welding hose in this week so i can start my rear frame stiffners, shock hoops, and shackl relocation.

I also need ideas on how to reinforce my upper control arm frame side bracketry.




I think its too weak.

nice jeep build. dont know if your still have prob with soft brakes i also put in waggy 44's in my xj and did a rear disk brake. brakes were still soft so i pulled out the rubber o ring out of prop valve which helped a little. i still wasnt happy so i did some reading and bought a mc out of a 77 ford grand marques with hydrobost. i didnt run hydrobost but the mc is larger and has bigger ports. bolts right in and that solve my prob. i can lock up all 4 33 from 45mph and they dont roll even an inch lol. that is a sick jeep i love it. also i run wheel spacers on my waggy rear and the stock studs and a spool for a while (det locker now) and didnt have the stud prob. i even have a 2500 stall and a v8 and have done a ton of launches and holeshots and still nothing. wierd u keep braking them. keep up good work

Thanks for the advice about the grand marquis master cylinder. I definately need to upgrade mine.

I still have the stock abs stuff, so ill remove that when i put my new MC on.

What V8 do you have?

right now i have a 318 with a mild cam and ported heads and a 727 trans with 2500 stall. i am building a 360 for it that is 30 over and should push 350 to 375 hp

Made some progress today:

Hole cut in floor:



Hoop cut to length and notched/welded:



Welding with a friend of mine's miller 110v........i miss my 220 , waiting on a new hose in the mail for it:







Right now the hoop is welded to some 3/16 plate and that is welded to the frame rail.

Im picking up some 3x3 angle iron to plate the rear section of the frame.

Tommorow im doing the same to the otherside, and running a bar across connecting both hoops at the top. Im also going to take a ride to a local steel supplier to see of they have the angle iron.

im thinking your going to have to widen that hole some for your rear shocks. you'd be surprise how much the shocks will move when flexing.

A little massaging with a BFH will do the trick.

looks good. are your shocks straight up and down or do they have a slight curve back? i cant quite tell from the pic

also are you going to run into any issues with the rear seat latching?

For reinforcing the brackets, possible gusset from the bracket to the floor?

Yes, my 300 has been flipped using a NorthWestFab 7/8" aluminum flipping/clocking ring. It uses MidWestControl products bulkhead push-pull cables 4' long, with a small rod-end on one side (for the shifter at the stick side), and a small clevis at the transfercase side, twin-sticked.



You pretty confident with the weld on that side (the frame plate piece)? Looks a little cold.

Its as hot as my buddies welder goes, like i said in that post, i miss my 220

I do think itll hold though

Seat will clear, but just bareley, and the shocks have a very slight curve back

The floor is super thin and weak, i wouldnt want to weld to it for support
