damn man your not having good luck with those wheel studs.

any idea as to what might be causing it?

disassembled....looked at....reassembled with some goodies...

edit-back in the day when i was into fast cars i recall ARP studs being a household name. maybe its worth checking them out for some wheel studs. if i recall correctly they were well made.

The ones on the RC wheel spacers snapped, when i was removing the lugs.

The reason the stock ones broke is that theyre tiny 7/16, and they were old and ****ty.

I've always liked 2 door XJ's and would love to build one as a DD some day. I would probably build it exactly like you have looks good.

IMO, i'd keep it leaves in the rear, just for the simplicity of it and less stress on that unibody. BUT if you were to link it, i've heard bad things about double triangulated on the road from several people.

Great looking rig man. I usually don't like bright red jeeps, but yours is so clean, and it's a 2 door!

I hate to say it but it seems awful suspicious that you've broken wheel studs so many times. Different studs even after you thought you'd fixed the problem? I don't know that much about spools, but I've never heard of someone breaking so many studs in such a short period of time. It might just be crappy old studs and crappy new studs too, but that just feels like a big coincidence. Maybe something else is going on to rapidly fatigue them? Don't take chances if you daily drive it, you could lose a wheel at just the wrong time! I really hope you get it squared away. : )

Theres actually less stress on the unibody with a link suspension. Leaf springs are much harder to flex out.

Its staying leaves for a long time dont worry

Got some 2x6 box tubing for rocker replacement a big thanks to Joe (3vze28!!!!)

Im going to start working on them tommorow.
