My style B needs some work again....after pulling the carpet even setting a can in it would cause it to fall off, so it got a couple screws into the console for now.
So, basically it holds the same size container as the one as Style A. Crud.

this is my solution to crappy cup holder options in XJs

first of all swap in a ZJ center console lid. some hole drilling to be done i think (the PO put it into mine) but that has a slide out tray for 2 rear cup holders. they hold cans reasonably well and water bottles

after that. head to the marine store and pick up 2 of these:

Folding Drink Holder

i got mine at a sports and auto parts store that went out of business.
they are adjustable and i havent really found anything that doesnt fit.
and the securely hold the can, drink, cup in place. IT WONT TIP OVER!!!

when you dont have a drink in there they fold up flat (the top arms fold down and the bottom folds up so its like its not even there when not in use.

i think i got mine for a lower price (5$ each?) but i dont know where else to get them so i quickly searched google and thats where they came up first.

i installed mine on the side of the console where cupholder "B" is located.

i used 2 screws in each cupholder into the plastic of the console. they have been solid for about 5 years now.

I installed the cup holder and the switch fits snug. I will be readjusting the e-brake so I don't rip off the cup holder. So far so good.

You should adjust your parking brake assuming you use it at all. If you jerk the brake up too hard, you'll snap the cupholder off. You need to ensure it tightens up before hitting the cupholder.
How to you adjust the e-brake just tighten the nut where the 2 wires become one underneath the car???

Yep. The one cable comes from the brake handle to an "equalizer" then splits to the two cables. There is adjuster nut with a lock nut.

Make sure your rear brakes shoes are adjusted properly before you adjust. Also make sure the brakes completely disengage after adjustment. Cycle the handle through several times to make sure they engage and release.
