Cruse control - is there a light?

Hello!

Okay,.. so I'm going through my new to me '91 Jeep Cherokee Larado and trying to make all the little extras work now that I have the engine in, and the lift on.

One thing that doesn't work at all is the cruse control. When I flip the switch to "On" I don't get a light on the dash or anything confirming that it's on.

Should I? Or do jeeps not have that?

Does anyone know how to test the other components and see if there good or bad?

Thanks!
Whiskey

My 95 has no light and based on that would assume yours does not either as we are both running the same computer system (I think).

Oh,.. I know it's not working lol,.. I'm curious about why it's not working.

If I have a light on my dash,.. then it's not coming on, which means my column switch is probably bad.

If I don't have a light, then it could be anything.

Where is your light located?

I've got a little blueish light that says "CRUISE" in the upper left above the volt meter .

No light on my 92 either. Are you just setting it to "ON", or are you also pushing the "SET" button?

Well,.. I took the colom apart to try and fix a problem with the steering wheel flopping around,.. and found out that it's missing some pieces inside including part of the bearing up top by the wheel

I also found out why cruse doesn't work,.. all the wires are cut inside the colom.

Sigh,.. another wonderful repair from this jeep's previous owner,
Looks like I'll be getting another colom.
