clutch pilot bearing

i'm changing my clutch in my 89 the great ba10/5 and the clutch seems fine so does the pressure plate but the little bearing in the middle of the flywheel is toast it came out in chunks all but the outer shell . So here's my question do i have to take the flywheel off to get this bearing out because i looks like i do, and because i don't have a way to pull the bearing out while it's on unless i find a way to cut it out any help is very great i need it running asap ?

there is a tool made for this that you might be able to rent at a auto parts store. But before you go to get one try this, find a bolt or a smooth piece of wooden dowel rod thats as close to the inner diameter of the bearing as possible. If you have to, wrap it with electrical tape to make it fit tight. Pack the space behind the bearing with wheel bearing grease. then take your plug and put it in the hole and hammer it in. You'll probably have to add grease and hammer it 3-4 times but the pressue should force the old bearing out. hope that helps. I know this trick works on solid pilot bushings but it should work for you to.
