cherokee to wrangler swap

ok, so I use to have a 90 wrangler and sold it to my dad. the transmission went out on it so it just sits in the yard. He also has a 93 cherokee that recently was taken off the road because the body is falling apart on it. The motor, tranny, everything is till good on it, just the body is horrible. I was thinking of swapping the motor and tranny into the wrangler so he could use it to come out and play on some trails. Just wondering if it is as straight forward as it seems or is there more to it?

well, the wrangler has the 4.2 in it with a 5 speed. I was just going to swap the 4.0 with auto trans into it. all electrical systems and stuff. the main concern I have is the drive shafts, and how long or short they have to be.

It would probably be easier to well the drivetrain parts out of the Cherokee and buy a used trans for the Wrangler with the proceeds.

I'm not looking for easy lol. I want the cherokee parts in the wrangler so it will be fuel injected. the wrangler runs great, its just the syncros went on it, and some frame rot in the rear. the frames not a big deal, we can handle that, lol. my dad has been wanting to do a project with me for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time, and i figured this would be a great one to start on. Koolaid5, sorry buddy, lol, but i don't think thats gonna happen, haha.
