Cherokee Clutch acting up! HELP**

So I've got the ax-15 with internal slave and sometimes when I'm sitting still with it running with the pedal to the floor it wont go into gear unless I slam it into 3rd then reverse and it makes the noise as if you had it in gear just a little bit and letting the clutch out (that fast grinding noise) and it falls into gear with a little jerk and is a bit hard to get out then I can maybe get it into first or reverse. This all happens when im sitting still if im rolling a little it never really gives me a problem, except in reverse if im rolling backwards what soever and try to put it in R it hates it and jams into gear. I also have a clunk clunk clunk type noise as I accelerate and I need to replace my tcase chain.

Would this be the crappy slave cyl that came with my clutch? I'm going to do the external slave swap and replace all my clutch stuff while its still under warranty while I'm in there.

Moral of the story is.. does this sound like a bad slave or is my transmission just old and have a ton of miles and needs to be replaced with a newer one?

anything helps here guys! thanks so much

Sounds like a hydraulic issue. Do you lose any fluid from the master cylinder?

Look up under the dash where the clutch pedal attaches to the clutch master and see if there's any leakage. Also look underneath to see if brake fluid is seeping out between the engine and trans. Fluid's gotta be goin somewhere.

amazingly my jeep doesnt leak anything at all.. with 300k on the clock im amazed myself to not have a dark spot where i park it looking back at me. im assuming its a slow slow slow drip that happens while im moving and maybe when im parked and I just cant tell. All I know is the internal slave is prone to failure especially aftermarket applications, but my clutch has been a nightmare ever since iv bought the jeep.. I feel like an amateur driving it kz sometimes it jerks and the clutch pedal used to let out and catch wherever it wanted to (top, Bottom, middle) randomly, now it just lets off close to the floor.

Did you look up under the dash? Your clutch master cylinder may be leaking or bypassing internally.

no leaks but there is an odd sound when the driveline angle changes during regular day driving when going over small humps in the road and the body gets a tad higher due to gravity i get like a weird noise and I can feel it in the floor.. it almost sound like a ujoint and the driveshaft is making the sound but I replaced them less than 5 months ago.. could it be the slip yolk or something?
