CB Antenna

Im looking to mount a CB antenna from the taillight. Does someone make a braket for this or do I have to custom do one?

This is what I have. I went to the local cb shop and it was in the clearance bin for $2. I did have to drill out a moutniing hole on it, but it works great.

have you check the SWR?

it looks like you have a insulation washer on the bottom.there should not be one on the bottom because thats where you get you ground from.

Well if you do any woods wheelin, then this mount isn't so great.....at least not with a 5 footer, mine is currently dangling off of the one tailight mount, all other screws have been torn out of their holes. I'm gonna go with a hood Mounts because I was told that a firestick needs something flat to reflect off of (roof or hood on an XJ), and since I don't want 5 feet of firestick on my roof, hood it is.

I was just about to point out that should you choose this mount..... You must throw away the screws that come with it and get some stainless bolts/washers/nuts and do it correctly so it won't tear out the first time you smacka a limb. Use the dime size washers if you can find them for better support behind the sheetmetal..... Ive had mine out 3 times now on trails that are literally too small for ATV's and have had no problems with it as it is bolted in and not screwed. Because if you use screws, you will be screwed!!
