Bump Stop Question

So I recently put on a Teraflex 1.5" spacer/shackle lift and when doing so noticed that my bump stops are literally rotting off. Should I get longer bump stops or just replace them with stock sized ones?

Yes you need new bumpstops. Do you have stock shocks or extended shocks? Shock length and tire rub is what determines what length you need. You want to keep the shocks from bottoming and the tire from rubbing when flexed.

Easiest way to check for all kinds of clearance issues is remove all the springs, jack up the axle in different ways and bumpstop accordingly but if you don't care to get every inch of travel just go with what's recommended for the lift and tire size you are running.

You should get slightly longer bumpstops or use a spacer. 1/2" to 3/4" longer is about right.

.

A recent Gallup public opinion poll shows the NRA, at 58% approval, has a higher approval rating than either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
