Budget junkyard upgrades

i was wondering what kind of upgrades i could find for my xj at the junk yard?? Just wondering some of the things others have come up with to upgrade their XJ's who are trying to save some dough.

What I mean when I say "budget junkyard upgrades" are upgrades like installing a ZJ tie rod into a TJ or using ZJ coils in the front of a XJ, labaron vents ect...

These are a great idea...but have to be off a 99 or newer.

I went out to the wreckers yesterday and snagged a newish set of V8 front coils (grand cherokee) which should give me a little lift to help level out my rig a little better....hopefully not ride too too firm.

Also look at older XJ's. I found a 89 with parts on it that were only a few months old! Managed to take some vacuum lines off it to replace mine and also stole his brand new sway bar bushings (on the tie rod end).

1990 Black 2 Door, Homemade 3" lift, 31x10.5 BFG AT's on rock crawlers, recovery front and rear, bed lined interior, rockerless, armored rear quarters, magnaflow muffler, CB, DIY Immobilizer, AC to OBA, Silverstars and a nice rack.
Build Up:
325,000km young.

I got skid plates, nut strips for hitch mounting, and extra coil isolators for lift leveling, for a total of probably $50, but it was a u pull it place and they guy didn't charge me for the coil isolators.

I think a XJ d44 would be the junk yard holy grail if you come across one for a good price.

This ZJ or Durango alternator thing...does it have to be a 5.9 engine?

4.6 stroker, 2wd, 5spd, larger sway bars front and rear, 3.55s, KJ 16's.

Projected date of completion - lol
