if you want good power go with a diesel motor, your old 4.0 is going to experience more wear if you ask it for more power.

Thanks SG, thats what I was wondering, cus ive seen the body lines on both models and the older one are a little bit sharper...maybe changing the fender would b good....but then what u do with the quarter panel??

So, the interior panels are not that friendly either with the 91 model on the glove box either?? bummer..Now, whats the door card???

The door card is interior of the door. (arm rest, switches, etc) The lines aren't that off to really have it be bad with the quarter. Plus the only way to change that is to cut it out and weld a different one in and doing the quarter will lead to the taillights and then the rear hatch (if you give a mouse a cookie right?). For the fender to fit right you need to do the header panel also. You can get away with out doing it but you have to drill new holes for bolts and again the body line is round on the newer models and sharp on the older model.

Easiest way would be to switch just the doors out. There are a few right ups around here including one that was featured in JP magazine if I am not mistaken. That one shows how to fix the glove box hitting the arm rest (I think).

It's not that bad. Does sound like a lot of work but it can be done pretty easily. Depends on why you are doing it. If you are just replacing it I'm sure you could find an older model door. If you want the full windows, larger mirrors (which bolt to older doors), and better security then do it!

Ok so i have installed the JK shocks on my XJ.

Fronts: Only need to replace the JK bar pins with the XJ bar pins.
Rears: Only need to press out steel sleeve. keep the JK bar pin.



I DIDNT BREAK THE DAMN SHOCK BOLTS!!!!!!

This is what i did; I knew i was eventually going to lift my XJ when i got it. so even before i got the parts for my lift, i (weekly) drenched the shock mount bolts with PB blaster at least four months before i even tried to remove the bolts. I recently was at the junk yard, tried to see how easy it really was to break those bolts, some snapped off even before i even really tried, so i think its safe to say that at least a month prior to installing your lift, you are REQUIRED to douse the bolts in PB blaster.

I noticed how it said that there is some dispute wether the JK shocks really do work. well they do and i can take pics for proof if you want lol.

Yes, they will work. Same engine as 91-95 XJ.

Budget dynomat, Go to lowes and pick up two rolls of pella door and window peel and stick membrane. Two rolls does two layers. I noticed a drop in the road noise level. Just remember to prime the rust first...
