Swap in WJ knuckles/rotors/calipers/tie rod/drag link(i think that's it) for a good steering and brake upgrade.

The WJ knuckles use a crossover steering setup which is much nicer than the common Y-setups or inverted-t setups. I believe you can use the factory drag link and tie rod, or a better idea would be to make your own 1-ton steering setup.

The WJ brakes are also much larger.

The 99-up intake manifold was redesigned to have a better flow rate, and it is good for a few horsepower to swap it out if you have an older model. The mustang injectors are an upgrade as well. As far as I know they are a direct swap and instead of having a single hole, they have four holes for a better spray pattern.

ok so here is a quick re-cap to any new post readers

Confirmed:
ZJ front coils = net only about 1 inch lift
S10 packs (cut eyes off main & bolt springs to XJ main) = 3-4" lift
JK shocks = slight mod to fit 2-4" lift
WJ brake booster & master cylinder = stop faster
YJ brake lines = bolt in & 3-4" longer
ZJ shift knob = replaces XJ knob
'97+ Ford 8.8" rear (need new spring perches, shock & track bar mounts) = 4.10 gears, LSD, disc brakes
Newer Intakes (with modification)
V8 ZJ Tierods = stronger than I6
WJ Knuckles/tierods/draglink (steering upgrade....gives you crossover steering)
WJ Rotors/Calipers = biggers brakes and more stopping power
Mustang 5.0 Injectors = bolt in and have 4 holes instead of 1 for more fuel and better spray pattern

Rumored:
ZJ alternators

the alternator will take some grinding to make it fit. I was just researching them today.

I'm not sure as to which engine or trim packages have which, that probably isn't a great thing to rely on either.

If it were me I would probably just pop the cover off and take a look. LSD will be easy to spot over open spider gears. To check the ratio you can check the number of teeth on the ring gear and pinon gear.

# of ring gear teeth divided by number of pinion gear teeth = gear ratio

8.8 LSD

OPEN SPIDERS

I did a search and this should help you out. Look at the first 4 posts.

question to all you jeepers for the good of the order:

are nv3550's, TJ 6speeds, AX-15's, and BA 10/5's all bolt in replacements for eachother? are some of them bolt in replacements for others? what fab is required to make them work?

The input/output spline count can vary IIRC...

Some are a little longer/shorter than the others.
