Brakes

I replaced my rear shoes on my 92 xj along with new hardware and cylinders. Now when we set the parking brake it seems to hang a little and then there is a pop as it starts rolling and seems to do it in both forward and reverse. Every thing looks right but I am no brake expert.

Cable or release mechanism might be getting hung up due to rust and/or corrosion. Put it on jack stands and have someone operate the parking brake while you watch where the cable goes into the drum.
