BPI bumper problem

Gents-

I have a BPI "Trail Tuff" rear bumper with tire carrier. Love the system but I have a problem and of course BPI does not exist any more AFAIK.

The latch pin (little spring loaded pin with black plastic T-handle) near the hub of the swing-out tire carrier is stuck in the latched position so I cannot swing out the carrier. I have unscrewed the top and shot it up with PB Blaster. several days later it won't budge.

Any other bright ideas? I don't remember how this little mechanism works, and the instructions are terrible.

Thanks,
D

IIRC, the BPI Jeep stuff is now sold through Poison Spyder Customs (http://www.spydercustoms.com - 303-777-4820) I think your best bet would be to give them a call and see if you can get any information out of them.
