Is it the Leather, or euro? Yours seems to be perforated and I don't see that option on the website, Enlighten me! Thanks. Your jeep looks amazing. Keep up the good work!
Mine is black leather. When you order it, specify perforated on the sides. Thanks for the compliments.

Great looking xj, very clean and well thought out. Just an FYI on the alternators, when you buy one, they usually come with a printed out spec sheet, telling you given amps for a given rpm. Full amperage isnt reached until you get to the top of the RPM range. So mostly you will be seeing up to about 2/3 of its amperage just cruising around. If you want a ridiculous alternator...go with mean-green. http://www.mean-green.com/

I did the upgraded wiring on mine, 4 gauge wire with new connectors. Its very easy to do yourself. Just do 1 wire at a time. I still have 3 more ground wires to upgrade, but everything else is done. Good luck with your build, keep us updated!

Hehe, keep us updated on the magnaflow. I think you may have convinced me to check out the wheel leather site....seems pretty slick.

Thanks for the great info.. Meangreen seems like way to go, straight bolt in swap, after I get the battery cables upgraded.

Will do. I'm seriously considering replacing the downpipe (after header). Have you seen how restricted it is? Do the steering wheel...it is the one thing you are fully interacting with always

I think the restriction actually helps with a little back pressure after you move to a more free flowing exhaust...just guess tho...backpressure talk on the forums is kind of like talking about black magic.

I know if I end up building my 4.7 stroker I will be wanting to change the exhaust from the headers back.

Black magic...that is a great way to describe that topic . Have you seen anything negative posted from running a freer flowing downpipe? I have not, but I continue to read up on the topic. It seems like a stock cat should be back pressure enough

I need new axle u-joints-suggestions

I have been getting an occasional tugging on the steering wheel while turning. It was diagnosed as a bad front axle u-joint. When it is cold, the tugging on the steering wheel (binding of the joint is more pronounced). Does anyone have a good recommendation for replacement. I wouldn't mind putting something in that might be a little more heavy duty. My XJ has 90,000 miles on it.
