I'd just get some good quality shocks, then lower the air pressure until you find a happy medium between gas mileage and ride quality. You can lower the pressure to 28 or less and still have a good contact patch with a very minimal if even noticeable change in fuel economy. These two things will help the ride quality, I was just saying don't expect a world of difference even though you dropped 300 or more on a set of shocks.

NO NO NO XJfeaver, you meant he was ****ed and will never have a good driving Jeep ever again and it will roll over now and explode and things. J/K He seemed to get worried about his LCAs when you mentioned the angle, but that's just the way lifted jeeps are.

not worried about the LCA angle too much unless I should be, I just don't want to add something to my jeep and find out that it would not affect the ride quality what so ever. I don't have money to waste.
if the consensus is that UCA & LCA relocation brackets, new shocks and full leaf packs are the way to go. Then cool. -Ryan |

You can't use control arm drop brackets with 3" of lift. They are for 4.5" and up. The shocks and lower tire pressure will help, and that is what I would do. The lower tire pressure will make as much difference as the shocks if you are running 35 psi or more. Try lowering it to 28 and see how it rides. Again mine is at 26psi and I get 14.5 to 15mpg's on 31" tires and stock gears. The contact patch is perfect as measured with the chalk test and the tires wear very even. Jeeps are light weight and don't need that much tire pressure.

I thought so... then my only options are new shocks and full leaf packs plus airing down tire to 28

There is another option, and it would get you a great ride, but it's not as cheap: Treks Offroad Products - Y-Link 3.5" Suspension System
Otherwise, yeah. New leafs, shocks, and airing down a little will help the ride a lot. |

I just got done reading some posts from search and as far a manufacturer to go with is debatable, but the biggest thing is that for a long arm upgrade for a 3" lift is you will lose ground clearance, but I don't think I can put a upgrade that will be lower to the ground.
