Biggest tire I can fit on a 90 w/2in lift?

Hey guys, I am brand new to all of this. I picked up a 90 Cherokee cheap as my first off-road toy. I am sure the answer is probably already on this forum somewhere but I can't seem to find it so here I am posting this question again, sorry about that. It has a 2in lift and 31s on it now but the tires are shot. I would like to put on the biggest tires I can with the 2in lift it came with. I am thinking about getting some cheap steel wheels at the same time and I am willing to do whatever trimming I need to. A couple of friends think I can fit 33s but others swear that 31 is as big as I can go. So, first off what is the biggest any of you have gone with a 2in lift AND what back spacing would you suggest I go with? Thanks in advance.

prlly 32's with 4 inch bs
you'll have to do a lot of trimming if you offroad
if u don't do much offroading you on't have to trim as much

33's would fit very comfortably with room to spare.

I have approx. 2" of lift, trimmed with 30's. I am on the fence with getting some 33s since it's my DD it would be a while before I could re-gear.

My 99 has a 2" with 31's, and I'm happy with it how it is. It is my daily driver though, so I can't really hack it all up and stuff yet. If you're willing to cut it up, I can see going another inch or two bigger, with proper bumpstopping and some creativity, along with power tools. Let's see some pictures of it!

KTM, that is friggen sick man. I don't think his stock axles would like cooking around with 37's though. Have you had any problems with the 44 in front?

lol thats more than trimming it looks like the tire ate your fender for breakfast... cool reguardless, what kindof bumpstops do you run? or do you just let the fender stop the tire?

the fenders got eaten by trees its alot rougher looking now than in that pic though, the tires use every inch of the fender without touching it.

in the back im running dmpg adjustable bumpstop plates and 4.1" stock xj bumpstops

in the front i used to run 2 hockey pucks (maybe 3" extended), until they loosened up and fell out, never got around to replacing them and my shocks became my bumpstops.

good deal. I was told the 44's don't do so hot with 37's. Good to know. When I get the time, I have a set of full size 60's I'll be putting on. All the other stuff I need has to come in as well.
