I believe that the vast majority of 97+ XJs have electric mirrors. My barebone 98 SE does.

But if you look in Quadratec's catalog, they do list a 97+ "manual remote" model.

how much bigger are the 97+ mirrors. I just got a 96 and the first thing I noticed is how small the mirrors were for a truck. I assume from this thread the mounts are the same but are the wiring the same too just the connectors different? i.e. same number of wires and the same colors.

What about Grand Cherokee mirrors? bigger, better, compatible?

I modified these YJ mirrors for my doorless mod. They could probably be made to work by grinding the base to fit the door and drilling new holes.



Another option would be to mount them directly to the door, although you'd need some kind of internal bracing to keep the door panel from rattling the mirrors.
