will zj or wj mirrors fit on xj? I may be wrong but they look bigger and my xj mirrors are hard to see out of.maybe it's just old age:

Are the 97+ mirrors any bigger? I know lots of people swap them to the older XJ's when they do the front conversion. They certainly appear bigger but I'm not sure if they actually are.

yes, the 97+ are a little bigger and can easily be swapped to the pre 97's.

ya....come to think of it the mirrors are really small. ...you could put those rectangle mirrors that have the brackets on them. ( like on the big diesels) that would look kinda funny though.

So easy they bolt right on w/o any modification at all.

dont mind the fact that the pass side is at an angle, I bent where it mounts on the door when I had an unfortunate incident with a tree.

The problem with me and XJ mirrors is that where I like to sit, the window strip obstructs my view.

Mine are power- I just shoved the cable inside the door. They came off a "non-power" XJ though. The cable was just shoved inside the door there too.

Easy swap. Bolted right up, I had manual mirrors, and these are power, so I just shoved the wire in the door, like said above, and adjusted them once by hand and they've been fine since. These mirrors are definitely bigger, and I recommend the swap.

This is a great upgrade!! Does anyone know if they offered the "manual remote" mirrors (cable adjusted) in the 97+ style or are they all electric??

The later mirrors fold in too, which is a handy feature when wheeling. My driver side mirror has been hit a few times and is just hanging on by a couple of threads on one of the bolts. It vibrates horribly at freeway speeds. 97+ mirrors are one of the things on my to do list.
