Best way to jack up the front end?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but what's the best way to jack up the front end of an XJ? I've used the differential as a lift point in the rear but the front diff is off-center so that won't work. I'm used to being able to find a spot on the frame to use but I didn't see anything that I thought would be safe. The owners manual isn't exactly clear on this subject either so I'd figure I'd ask you guys.

axle tubes, probably best to do one end at a time and use jackstands before switching sides, as opposed to once at the middle. let the unibody rest on the jackstands

one of many great things about solid axles: a jack point parallel to the ground. imo axles for lifting, frame (in this case the reinforced part of the unibody) for resting

I just put the jack in the middle of the front axle to jack it up, right on the axle tube. Doing one side at a time takes too long

I mostly use the floor jack too. why pump the jack twice as much as you need to?
