Best shocks for RE3.5" Super Ride lift

I was looking for a good shock for this kit. I don't want something real stiff as this will be my DD. I do have OME on my Zj but I have procrap springs and they are very stiff so I don't really know how great the shocks are as the springs mask the possible comfort. Any tips? RE DT3000's OME Blistines or others

I like my Skyjacker Hydros, nice ride. DT3000's are about the same. Most peeps on here recommend the OME's for the best ride...I'm just too cheap to buy those myself

I got the DT3000's with my RE SR kit. They seem great. No complaints here. Of course its a little bit rougher ride around some of these roads, but hey, its a "truck" suspension. Its not supposed to feel like Im driving a mini-van.

Yea, if I don't like my DT3000s much, I'm going to upgrade to these and sell the DTs.

I just didn't feel like spending the cash on better shocks since the DTs would "work" and my shop said they'd be fine.

Plus, I bought so much other crap all at once (SYE/CV, rims, tires)

I was pretty much tapped out...

Dan your shop is right, the DT will work, but if you do a bit of searching you will find that the OME are going to give you the best ride out there, and if this is your daily driver, your going to want the best ride out there. Buying the DT and then finding out they are going to do.....but not something you would buy again is going to cost ya, sure the DT are going to do, but so will just about any company out there. save the few more bucks and get OME!!!!!

Depends on your lift you will be getting, they have diffrent sizes, I got my stuff from Dirk at www.dpgoffroad.com , but he just left for vaction, give him a call when he gets back and he will point you in the right direction!

To be honest, unless you order them online by specific shock model, there's no real need to know the part numbers. Any decent shop that you could get OME's through is going to be able to get you the right ones by just knowing what kind of Jeep (XJ obviously) and how much lift you're running.

I have SJ Nitro and they work great, but I am going to upgrade to OMEs this summer.
