Go get you a "Cherry Bomb" muffler -- $30 at CarQuest. Beats spending $200+ if all you want is sound.

Borla is some good stuff from what I hear. Is this a bolt on? What are the performance gains (supposed) compared to a flowmaster 40/50?

it is a bolt on, just like a system like rustys

the performance gains compared to JUST a 40 series would be around 5hp...the borla kit is a catback...

.

Got one and it is awesome. Quadratec has them for cheaper. From what I have heard, Borla is the only exhause that has true gains as far as perfomance, the bad part is it is hight in the torque curve. Some that I know running flomasters have seen low end torque loss, but you won't see that with borla.

I'd go Borla, it's under $300 bucks, aircraft stainless steel, and lifetime warranty.

I think my regular exhaust sounds pretty cool and it didn't cost any extra.

What is your regular exhaust, my stock exhaust reminded me of a kazoo! I had to change that...

The peak power is higher in the torque curve for the borla.
