Battery cables
Does anyone happen to know the precise length of the positive and negative battery cables on the late 80s 4.0 Cherokee?

Man, i don't know. Just buy about 10 feet of quality 1/0 gauge wire and 5 more feet for the ground.
That'll be more than enough to replace the Alt->Battery, Battery->Chassis and Engine->Chassis.

or get a rope, follow the existing cables with the rope, and then measure the length of rope per each measure. might require getting dirty
