Basic questions re. transmission fluid, 1992 Cherokee Sport

I've searched around this site a good bit, and also online, and I cannot seem to find an answer:

- how do i check the level of transmission fluid in my 1992 cherokee sport (v6)? ?

From other places I have gleaned that I have this transmission:

AX15 - 5 speed manual - manufactured by Aisin - used with 4.0L I6 engines

and that its capacity is: 3.25 quarts

Any help appreciated! !

I can't help you with checking the tranny fluid in a 5 speed, but just for the record, you have a straight (inline) 6, not a V-6.

Thanks for the correction!

Also, I found a manual for the AX15 transmission -- I am pretty sure my model does have that -- and it shows the location of the transmission fluid check.
