axle swap

hey guys i got a 92 2wd larado for 280 bucks a couple weeks ago and it has bad ballbearings. i took apart the wheel asembly and the spindel is no bueno. now my question is,i have an extra axle from my last wj can a verilock d30 axle bolt right in or will i have to modify to make it fit ?

Won't fit without modifications. Different bolt pattern, different WMS-WMS width, different mounting locations for the LCAs and UCAs.

Good thing is, WJs have bigger brakes and better steering setup. Can be built to work, but needs a bit of DIY fabbing, welding etc..

I'm in no rush to get it done and I got plenty of time and parts. I want to convert it to 4wd in the future but for now I just want to use it as a dd so I don't put miles on my wjs new engine. My other question is, so I don't have to swap the axles can I just swap the knuckles so I can have the bigger brakes. As for the bolt pattern I'm not to worried about that cause I still have my other old rims
